Suede Handbags
If you have ever owned suede handbags then you will know that a few careless mistakes could cost you a lot. What I mean by this is suede purses can be ruined very easily. But, if you know what you have in store, and are prepared, then it will make owning a suede handbag a lot easier. Stains, bad weather, and carelessness, could cost you a lot of money if you own a suede bag, and I am writing this so that you can learn not how to clean suede but how to protect one of the nicest bags that you will ever own.
The first step to protecting your suede handbag is to buy a suede protectant. The protectant may come with most suede handbags, but for those that don’t, you may need to buy it separately. If you are having a hard time finding it, then ask a store clerk at the store that you bought the your suede bag from, or even try a shoe or clothes store that sells suede shoes, handbags, or even jackets. Most of them have to carry suede cleaners and protectants. You will need to spray the protectant onto your leather suede bag. Just follow the instructions that are provided on the label of the protectant or check your suede purses just in case they require any special treatment.
Now just because you have put protectant on your suede handbags, it doesn’t mean that you should be careless with them. If it looks like it is going to rain or snow then do yourself a favour and leave your favourite suede hobo bag at home. The protectant is used only in the worst cast scenario; it doesn’t mean that you can now take it wherever you please no matter what the forecast. Pay attention to the weather and if the weatherman or woman is forecasting a lot of rain or snow then put your suede handbags away until a better day.
Care and maintenance of your suede handbag will not only help it to look its best, but it will make it last much longer as well. Use a suede brush to remove any dirt that has built up on the suede purse. Brushing will also ensure that the suede leather looks its best. If you see any spots on the bag then try a suede cleanser. Your best bet to finding the suede brush and the suede cleanser are to ask at a store that sells suede products.
Taking the necessary steps to protect and maintain the look of your brown or black suede handbag will pay off in the future. While you may know a lot of people that have had accidents or problems with suede, you won’t because of proper planning and prevention.
The thing is that a suede handbag can be a treasure to most. They will usually love their beautiful suede purses until something happens and their suede bag gets ruined. So, in order to avoid this scenario, try to protect your suede handbags!
